1. Project Overview

Savannah Liquidation is a multi-category liquidation and estate-auction business operating on WordPress using the Ultimate Auction Pro plugin (WooCommerce). The client runs ongoing auctions spanning electronics, tools, furniture, flooring, and more, and currently uses savannahliquidation.com as their primary bidding platform.

The client requires two targeted enhancements to improve the checkout and browsing experience:

  • A “Checkout All” button functionality on the My Account → Orders page that gathers every order with a Pending Payment status and sends them to a single combined checkout — mirroring the control that already exists under Auctions → Bids Won, so buyers who win multiple auctions can pay for all of them from their order history too.
  • A category sort control on the Auctions listing (shop) page, so shoppers can narrow the current 262+ live auctions down to a single product category instead of scrolling the full unfiltered grid.

This proposal covers the full scope of both enhancements, including design, development, testing, and deployment. Two design directions are presented for the category sort feature (Section 3) — Savannah Liquidation should confirm which one to proceed with before development begins.

  1. Customer Requirements  — 1. Checkout All  — My Account Orders Page

On the My Account → Orders page, a “Checkout All” button will be added directly above the existing order listing table, styled to match the site’s existing button treatment. Clicking it gathers every order on the account currently in Pending Payment status and sends them to one combined WooCommerce checkout, so the buyer can pay for all outstanding auction wins in a single transaction instead of paying order by order.

  • Button sits above the Orders table, before the listing — no extra count or summary text next to it
  • Automatically detects every Pending Payment order on the account — no manual selection required
  • Combines the qualifying orders into one cart/checkout session with one total and one payment step
  • Orders already Completed, Processing, On Hold, or Failed are left untouched
  • No change to the individual Pay / View / Cancel actions already on each row

  1. Category Sort — Auctions Listing (Shop) Page

On the Auctions listing page — currently sorted only by popularity, latest, price, and auction status — shoppers will be able to narrow the grid down to a single product category. Two design directions are proposed; see Section 3 for mockups:

  • Option 2.1 — Category pills: a row of tappable category pills (All, Electronics, Tools, Furniture, Flooring, …) above the grid
  • Option 2.2 — Category dropdown: a second dropdown next to the existing “Sort by” control

Both apply on top of the existing sort options and update the result count and URL to reflect the selected category.

Action needed: Please review both mockups in Section 3 and confirm whether Option 2.1 (pills) or Option 2.2 (dropdown) should be built — development will begin on the confirmed direction only.

  1. Effort — Design & Development

5.1 Checkout All — My Account Orders Page

  • Audit the existing Bids Won combined-checkout logic for reuse
  • Add the Checkout All button above the listing
  • Wire the button to gather Pending Payment orders and build the combined cart/checkout session
  • Cross-browser and mobile testing; confirm existing row actions (Pay / View / Cancel) are unaffected

Estimated effort: 8 hours

5.2 Category Sort — Auctions Listing Page (confirmed option)

  • Build the confirmed category control (Option 2.1 pills or Option 2.2 dropdown) above the auctions grid
  • Wire the selected category into the existing auctions query, merged with existing bid/meta query args
  • Confirm the category filter combines correctly with existing sort options (Ending Soon, Most Active, etc.)
  • Cross-browser and mobile testing

Estimated effort: 10 hours
